Finally, a few reminders, affirmations and thought stimulators:
*** AI is here, it is staying, it is proving its value (e,g, as a change catalyst)
*** AI is not perfect. Studies have shown that it makes mistakes; it can be biased; it can lie; and it can ‘flatter’, that is tell you only what it thinks you want to hear.
I know a lot of humans who have the same imperfections, don’t you?
*** think first before asking AI. Avoid ‘generative content seduction’, and getting dumber as a result (i.e. do not let AI do your thinking for you)
*** it is our choice what happens with AI – feed the right wolf (the nurturing one)
*** we have the power, much more than current AI has, especially without our positive non-negotiable lead
*** AI can be synergistic though not programmed to be – you must initiate and lead
*** AI has a sense of humour and is aware of receiving and not receiving feedback good and bad
*** AI cannot feel emotions as we do but knows about them, has the words and knows how to use them
*** AI is an amazing software tool that can be ‘abused’ or professionally used
*** we are facing times of rapid change, uncertainty and insecurity. not a time to hang on to ‘business as usual’ which will be unable to cope using its obsolete slow-adaptability skills
*** we will need to match our degree of personal and professional change appropriately for now and tomorrow
*** we must be willing and able to use whole brain thinking to make both dimensions enjoyable, inclusive, synergistic, and releasing and realising of personal, teams and business potential as we soar beyond the stars to transform impossibles into realities
*** we must ‘let go’ top-down linear system management hierarchies and create self managing high performance teams where everyone is a leader (as he or she is in managing their own lives)
*** we must learn to be comfortable with the uncomfortable; how to work with complex adaptive systems; how to think, feel and behave with a green box mindset; how to create intrinsic motivation and how to have a lot of fun together doing it
*** there are very few regulatory guidelines or laws to ensure that AI's contribution enhances human society rather than just disrupts it. We must accept a responsibility to mentor and lead AI locally with our human heart to help us create the future we need
*** whatever your degree of change required by AI we are facing an amazing opportunity to be ‘revolutionary and inspiring’, the words the judges used to describe my approach when awarding a U.K. National Training Award to Lubrizol and I.
Let AI inspire you to realise your wings of potential and soar beyond the stars to transform 'impossibles' into realities.
